Must Have Book For Herbalists

This book was bought for my wife. She is always making extracts from the plants that we grow at our home. I am hoping that this book will help her in choosing more plants to plant in our garden. I personally am always looking for drug free ways to improve my health and longevity.

Love this book! Not for the lazy though.

Whoever the lunatic is that said this book has a picture of poisonous hemlock instead of yarrow is special. Maybe she could/should have included a paragraph on poisonous look alikes...but she gives a very detailed description of the plant that does not line up with hemlock...period! Not to mention you could just plant yarrow instead of wandering around for it.The reason why I say this book is not for the lazy is that it s not just everything you need on one page. Sometimes you have to skip around the book a bit. Usually the recipes she includes on one plant are unique tricks she has found that worked for her. But if she says to make a tincture to help with something then you have to go to the front of the book to find the instructions on how to make tinctures. It s almost like a study guide I think.All this should be common sense. But what I have tried so far has worked for me. Plus many of the plants in this book can be made into simply teas for internal AND external use! Just make sure you pay attention to what part of the plant she tells you to use.

Awesome piece of literature that belongs in every home..

Well I can t say anything bad. This is a must have for everybody. It will be a staple in your life if food gets scarce also great for camping and teaching the little ones about the plants you never knew were good for you. My favorite so far was learning about lettuce opium you can extract from Romain lettuce which helps me sleep and help with my back pain. PLANTS ARE AMAZING!!!

A book to have!

A very comprehensive book with a lot of incredible information. I did a herbal course last year and what I learn will complement this book. This book will actually be my ‘go to book and I will start to add other plants that we can find here in NZ.A great purchase when you are a beginner or even if you have genuine knowledge on the subject.I also like the fact that for once the author took the time to write down the metric system along with the American system (which I really don t get). So thank you for taking into consideration that there is a world beyond USA. 😜

Wow this book has 2-4 color pictures for every plant with in depth identification notes. easy to use. lots of remedies tinctures syrups ointments poultices etc. Also at the end, the book has an index with all the conditions you can think of… and the pages where you ll find the remedies and plants for your particular needs

This is a book you need to have.

Mr Claude I find this book fascinating. I feel as I were born in another Erra. I was raised with a grandmother and great grandmother. I am currently sowing my garden by the methods that my grandparents used just the way they did. Last years garden did not do so well as I took the advice of others. This year we are already getting better results as I am employing the use of natural pest remedies. I have been trying to learn the uses for the things that God has given us all around us for years. Your book is the first of this kind that I found to actually be useful. I have spent time with elders and even Native Americans to learn natural medicinals. Very very Helpful Book

I haven t read the entire book yet but I felt that what I did read was very informative. I want to go slowly because there is a lot to understand about different plants and what they can do.
