The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking by Dale Carnegie

I wish I had read this book sooner. Dale Carnegie offers excellent advice in a very approachable manner. I would recommend this book to individuals who want to become better communicators.

Despite being a blast from the past this book is great! I wanted to refresh before doing a big presentation and the advice contained here is just so valuable... amazing how little things have changed fom when Mr. Carnegie was doing his thing and can t recommend this book enough.

A very comprehensive guide on how to speak effectively. To do a good talk it requires good preparation self interest of the topic and never memorise the talk focusing on ideas instead of words to speak spontaneously. And most importantly always look for improving breadth of vocabulary to push through plateaus so that we can think quickly and verbalize adroitly.

Years ago a gentleman who worked for me had previously been an instructor for the Dale Carnegie Institute. He gave me all of the Carnegie books in hardcover. Unfortunately over the course of 20+ years and multiple moves I lost them. Now I have just purchased this one and the others in paperback.

This is a great revelation for all those who are ready to sharpen their communication skills.The content is so so fresh. Dale Carnegie shares all his life lessons learnt in his life on Public speaking. Dale Carnegie is one of the greatest authors on writing about not only how to be successful at the things you want to achieve. He gives great insight on how to communicate with people on your ideas and other aspects of life to get your point across in different areas. A great read for anyone looking to build on strong characteristics to use for business and in your personal life.

If you have problems with nerves when you re speaking in front of people whether that be in meetings work or public events—this is the book for you. Dale Carnegie has a way of breaking issues down to the most fundamental level I highly recommend giving this book a try. It has helped me tremendously with my public speaking nerves.

I first read this book as part of the Dale Carnegie course several decades ago. Recently my niece (who is an executive at a regional bank) was called upon to be the keynote speaker for a group of 1500 businesswomen. And she was tense about it.I gifted her with this book and she devoured it. I ve heard so many dull speakers -- and now i know WHY they were so boring! she told me.The language of The Quick and Easy Way is certainly dated but the principles embodied in it are still sound. For years I knew about Dale Carnegie and his famous How to Win Friends book but I had not read anything he wrote. After reading +the more famous book of his I wanted more. The Quick & Easy Way to Effective Speaking reinforced my belief that to be an effective speaker today one does not need to be Demosthenes or Daniel Webster or even Everett Dirksen the last of the great orators. One need only be sincere and confident to be effective. If you are one of those folks who would rather stick a pin in your eye than speak publicly read this book!

This book is very important for all who are in public speaking to read. I am a pastor and have been in the ministry for many years and this book has shed light on many areas all other books I have read on public speaking have left out. The other books I read were just points out of this one!!!
